Distribution: India [UT: Valley of Flowers NP/Nanda Devi BR, Ghangharia (D. Kumar, 1987)], endemic. Note: Recently, Váňa & al. (2014) treated this species as conspecific with Cephalozia hamatiloba subsp. hamatiloba. However, as the former is considerably distinct from the latter in its overall morphology, it is treated here as a distinct taxon.
