Herbs, biennial; stems simple, erect, up to 60 cm high, with long spreading golden
hairs. Cauline leaves reniform. Inflorescence up to 15 cm long, paniculate. Flowers pale
yellow. Sepals with long hairs. Petals (honey-scales) ca 1.5 cm long, more or less glabrous.
Carpels 3, densely golden hairy.

Endemic.
Notes. Closely related to A. orochryseum of Nepal and Bhutan.
