geniculate at apex. Male inflorescences axillary or ramiflorous, fasciculate; sepals 12 in
3 whorls, imbricate; petals 6; stamens 6, free; anthers introrse. Female flowers not seen.
Infrutescences thick, peduncled; gynophore swollen; carpels 6. Drupes short-stalked;
style-scar near base; endocarp slightly woody; endosperm absent or scanty. Seeds
ellipsoid; cotyledons thick.
