Leaves elliptic, acute or obtuse at base, acuminate at apex, 6 -
12 x 2.5 - 5.5 cm, puberulous at first, later glabrescent; main nerves 6; petioles slender, 1 - 2 cm long,
puberulous or glabrous. Male inflorescences axillary or ramiflorous,. fasciculate, 1
few-flowered; sepals 9 -
12; outer one puberulous, small; inner 3 -
6 larger, rotundate,
glabrous; petals 3, obovate, cuneiform; stamens 6 -
12, shortly connate, ca 0.5 mm long.
Female flowers unknown. Infrutescences unbranched. Drupes globose, 8 -
15 mm across,
glabrous, red.
