Herbs, erect, up to 30 cm high. Leaves 3-foliolate, somewhat sheathing at base;
stipules free, oblong; leaflets reniform-cordate, ca 5 cm long; lobes crenate-toothed.
Flowers white, fascicled at ends of branches. Sepals 4, petaloid. Anthers not tipped;
filaments slender. Achenes sessile, prominently ribbed, margined.
