Herbs, glabrous; stems 10 -
60 cm high. Leaves pinnately decompound, glaucous;
petioles sheathing, auricled; leaflets 3 - 5 mm long, deeply and bluntly lobed; stipels
present. Flowers in axillary short racemes or narrow panicles, green. Sepals ovate, ca
2 x 1 mm, greenish. Stamens usually 5; anthers apiculate. Achenes 5, on abruptly
deflexed stalks, narrowly ellipsoid, 5 -
6 mm long, 1 - 1.5 mm broad, prominently 7 -
8-ribbed; beak strongly recurved.
