Herbs, robust, branched, up to 60 cm high with scattered hairs. Leaves lanceolate or oblanceolate, sinuate-toothed, 8 - 9 x 1 cm. Flowers orange-yellow, ca 8 mm across; mpedicels 3 - 6 mm long, minutely hairy. Petals obovate-spathulate. Style ca 2 mm thick; stigma large, capitate. Fruits 5 - 6.5 x 0.3 cm; valves obtusely keeled. Seeds minute.

Fl. & Fr. June - Aug.

Distrib. India: Sikkim (3000 - 4000m).

Nepal and Bhutan.
