Herbs, annual, glabrous, erect, internodes long. Leaves opposite, sessile or subsessile; linear, attenuate into petiole at base, acuminate at apex, finely serrate along margins with 1 - 2 mm long filiform appendage on each tooth, 5.5 - 14.5 x 0.3 - 0.5 cm, finely pubescent above, glabrous below; lateral nerves rather distinct; stipular glands pubescent. Flowers axillary, epedunculate, red; pedicels slender, 3.5 - 6 cm long, glabrous. Lateral sepals ovate, 5 - 7 mm long, glabrous. Lip navicular, 6 - 10 mm long, spurred; spur gradually constricted, filiform, 1.5 - 2.5 cm long, glabrous. Standard elliptic-oblong, one side irregularly toothed,ca 1 x 0.6 cm. Wings 2.2 - 2.5 cm long; basal lobes triangular, ca 6 x 4 mm; distal lobes transversely semiovate or ovate-elliptic, shortly round lobed or emarginate on inner margin about two-third distance from base, 1.5 - 1.8 x 1 - 1.2 cm. Capsules turgid in middle, 0.5 - 1.4 cm.
