Herbs, perennial, slender, 40 -
60 cm high, glandular-pubescent. Leaves subsessile ,
lanceolate, ovate or elliptic, acute at apex, 3 - 5.5 x 0.5 - 1.5 cm, membranous. Flowers
few, in terminal dichotomous cymes; pedicels slender, tomentose. Sepals oblong-lanceolate, acute at apex, 4 -
5 mm long, narrowly scarious-margined. Petals 5 -
6 mm long·
Capsules slightly longer than sepals, with curved teeth.
