Herbs, annual, very slender, tufted; stems branched, filiform, 60 - 90 cm long, flaccid. Leaves long-petiolate, elliptic or oblong-lanceolate, acute at apex. 1 - 1.8 cm long, membranous. Petioles and pedicels capillary. Flowers solitary, axillary. Sepals ovate- oblong or lanceolate, ca 2.5 mm long, dorsally ciliate. Petals linear, dilated upwards, entire, ca 5 mm long, white. Filaments very slender, hardly united at base. Capsules globose, 2-valved, ca 2 mm in diam.; seeds subglobose, ca 1 mm in diam., acutely tuberculate.

Fl. & Fr. May - July.

Distrib. India: Temperate Himalayas. Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Pakistan and Afghanistan.
