Small trees; branches black. Leaves elliptic, oblong-lanceolate 7-15 x
2.5-6.5 cm, apex acute or shortly acuminate, coriaceous, glabrous, nerves
obscure; petioles 6-7 mm long. Flowers in clusters, sessile. Sepals rugose outside,
margin membranous, ciliolate above. Petals obovate-cuneate, 2-3 mm long,
united at base. Filaments short. Ovary flask shaped, furrowed. Fruit ellipsoid,
1.5-2 cm long, narrowed and acute on both end.
