Moderate to large tree with a spreading crown; young parts hairy. Leaves to 50 cm
long; rachis to 12 cm long; leaflets 11 pairs, opposite or subopposite, lanceolate, slightly
oblique at base, entire along margins, acuminate at apex, ca 10 x 3 cm, puberulous
especially along midnerve when young; secondary nerves to 15 on each side,hairy in axils
beneath; petiolules to 7 mm long. Panicle 20 -
30 cm long, lax. Flowers small; pedicels
ca 1 mm long. Sepals 5, rounded,puberulous outside, ciliate along margins,ca 1.25 mm
long. Petals oblong-elliptic, obtuse at both ends, 4 - 4.5 x ca 2.5 mm. Stamens 5,
alternating with 5 thread-like staminodes; anthers cordate at base, shortly appendaged.
Disk and ovary hirsute; style glabrous.
