Herbs, puberulous; branches spreading. Leaves alternate. Heads heterogamous, rayed, small, axillary, in spreading leafy panicles. Receptacle flat, naked. Ray florets white, female, 2 - 3-seriate, shortly ligulate. Disc florets bisexual; tube short, limb 4 - 5-cleft, campanulate. Involucre short; bracts in few series, lanceolate, with scarious margins. Anther bases obtuse or 2-lobed. Achenes compressed, beaked. Pappus of 3 - 8 caducous bristles.

E. Asia, Malaya, Japan and China; ca 2 species, 1 in India.
