Notes. Suessenguth (l.c.) transferred C. elongoto Roxb. to the genus Cayratia, apparently on the basis of leaves being compound. This species, however, belongs to the genus Cissus and not to Cayratia (Singh P. & Shetty in Taxon 35: 596. 1986).
