Notes. Nitrogen-fixing root nodules are known in some species of Coriaria (Bond in Nature 193: 1103. 1962).

b. Herbaceous perennials; leaves usually prominently 7-nerved from base; racemes terminal, always solitary; anthers much longer than filaments 2. Coriaria terminalis
