Herbs or undershrubs, erects slender, 10 - 80 cm; stems smooth, glabrescent. Leaves
cuneate at base, acute at apex, entire at margin, 4 - 6 x 0.2 - 0.5 cm, glabrous. Heads 30 - 50-flowered, in terminal and upper axillary panicles; peduncles slender, naked. Involucral
bracts scarious margined with a purple spot near apex. Corolla white, 4-cleft; lobes
obtusely triangular.
