Herbs, subscapigerous, hirsute. Radical leaves obovate-lanceolate; cauline linear-oblong. Heads solitary. Involucral bracts 2 - 3 -seriate, Iinear-lanceolate, sometimes herbaceous, hirsute, longer than disc, recurved. Ligules numerous, linear. Achenes about as long as pappus, villous. Pappus of outer series many paleate, small.
