Shrubs, 1 - 3 m high, densely covered with long spreading patent simple hairs.
Leaves 3 - 15 x 2 -
12 cm, ovate or lanceolate, somewhat orbicular, rarely 3-angled,
cordate at base, acuminate to obtuse at apex, ,coarsely serrate; petioles 2 -
10 cm long;
stipules 8 -
14 mm long, linear-lanceolate. Flowers axillary, 1 -
3 on a common peduncle;
pedicels equal to or longer than petioles. Calyx lobes 1 -
2.5 x 1.5 cm, ovate, connate at
base. Petals yellow, 1 - 1.5 cm long, obovate. Staminal column shorter than petals,
stellate hairy. Schizocarps 1 - 1.5 cm across, ovoid; mericarps 10,5 - 7 mm across, shortly
beaked.Seeds 2 -
3 in each mericarp, ca 2 mm across.
